Champions Retreat Announces Masters Week 2017 Programming

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Wednesday, February 15th, 2017

To celebrate one of the most cherished and prestigious weeks in golf, Champions Retreat – a revered private golf club located just outside of Augusta, GA – and the only club in the world featuring three individually designed courses by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus – announces its 2017 programming during Masters Week.

From April 3 - 9, 2017, the private retreat offers Augusta tournament-goers signature golf on courses designed by the "Big 3" legendary champions, accommodations in luxury rental homes, a night-lit driving range – complete with private cabanas and bottle service – roaring fire pits, live musical guests and innovative culinary experiences.

Guests of Champions Retreat have the unique ability to feel the rich history of Augusta and pay homage to the three great golf legends during Masters Week by playing on the very same courses they designed. Each course uncannily represents the distinctive character of their architects – the Palmer's Island Nine, Nicklaus' Bluff Nine and Player's Creek Nine. Foursomes are available every day during the week and include a forecaddie, as well as all-you-can-eat-and-drink breakfast and/or lunch and a full-service bar located in The Barn.

For those seeking reprieve from chain restaurants and hours long wait lists in Augusta, Champions Retreat delivers exceptional dining experiences, including the newly added "Tour of the South" offered Thursday through Saturday in The Barn. Tour of the South will feature action stations inspired by cuisine from the Low Country, New Orleans. Carolinas, Charleston, Texas, Florida and the Keys Caribbean, Mid-Georgia and classic Southern Soul.

As an alternative, The Grille House accommodates VIP-entertaining hosts and discerning epicureans every night with an elegant five-course, menu, deftly created by Executive Chef and Augusta native, Jeremy Miller. Each course is paired with craft cocktails and wines expertly hand-selected by the Retreat's certified sommelier, Director of Food & Beverage Doug Snyder.

Luxury accommodations are available in Masters Week private rental homes within the gates and just outside the gates of Champions Retreat.  Homes range from 3- to 6-bedrooms and many include golf course views, home theater rooms, game rooms, home gyms, large dining areas, outside entertainment areas with kitchens, swimming pools and more.
