Boot Camp Sessions Help Prep for Goodwill Job Fair

The Augusta Goodwill Job Connection, 3179 Washington Road at Fury’s Ferry, will hold Job Fair Boot Camps at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, to prepare job-seekers for Goodwill’s spring Job Fair set for 1-4 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Snelling Center, 3165 Washington Road.

An additional boot camp, a 9 a.m. Friday, March 3, will be conducted by the Augusta Warrior Project to help veterans seeking employment. The boot camps and job fair are free to job-seekers and employers, provided as part of Goodwill’s mission of offering job training and career development services to individuals in the community.

The March 3 Boot Camps will help job-seekers prepare for available positions offered by employers at Augusta’s March 9 Job Fair, including Augusta University, Dart, Macuch Steel, Katerwerks, Pactiv, Columbia County Schools, Marriott Augusta, Urban Outfitters, Family Dollar, Chick-Fil-A, Edgar’s Hospitality Group and Helms College. Goodwill’s Boot Camp program recently was named Volunteer Program of the Year by Goodwill International.
