The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta will host a “Give Your Green to the Y” Day on Friday, March 17 in partnership with Jan-Pro of Augusta who will match all donations up to $5,000 on this one day. Proceeds from this special day of giving will benefit the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which raises funds for the Y’s Financial Assistance Program.       

“Text messaging is such a simple way to connect with a broader range of people,” says Danny McConnell, President/CEO of the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta. “We are excited to partner with Jan- Pro of Augusta and thankful for this opportunity to highlight a new avenue of giving in hopes that all will join forces with us to give for a better us at the YMCA.”       

Participants who wish to give to a specific YMCA branch can do so by texting the dollar amount and branch name to 706 223 3303. Example: $10  Downtown.       

During the event, the Y will offer free face painting, giveaways from 1pm-5pm and live radio remotes with the Fattz and Cher Afternoon Remote Party happening from 3pm-5pm outside of the Downtown Augusta Family YMCA.
