Leadership Augusta, an affiliate of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, is now accepting applications for the 2018 Leadership Augusta adult class, which runs from August 2017 through May 2018. Class participants have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, foster understanding of major issues facing the region, improve the communications network among community leaders, and motivate them to contribute through voluntary participation in civic activities.

In addition to gaining an awareness and understanding of the issues and challenges facing the region, participants in Leadership Augusta can:

• Refine their personal and public leadership style and skills

• Develop diverse contacts and an excellent communication network

• Receive recognition for themselves and their organization for their voluntary civic activities

• Access better opportunities for taking an active role in addressing community needs

Leadership Augusta’s mission is to inform and inspire existing and emerging leaders of the greater Augusta area to build a stronger community.

Applications are available at LeadershipAugusta.com or AugustaMetroChamber.com, and are due Friday, March 31, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. Mail or hand-deliver the completed application package to: Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, One Tenth Street, Suite 120, Augusta, GA 30901. After reviewing the applications, a select number of applicants will be asked to interview and join the class.
