AAGA Trade Show and Maintenance Mania Combined for First Time
Friday, April 14th, 2017
On April 20 the Apartment Association of Greater Augusta will host its seventh annual Maintenance Mania competition in conjunction with its annual trade show at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.
The AAGA Trade Show is an event where multifamily property management professionals can meet with suppliers to the multifamily industry. Limited exhibition space is available. If you are a supplier to the multifamily industry you must be an AAGA member and have a booth registered to attend this event.
This event is free to attend for property management professionals with AAGA membership if they register by April 17th. After that date the member price is $10 per person. Guests and nonmembers (excluding suppliers) are welcome to attend at $30 per person.
The trade show will begin at 3 p.m. with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m. The maintenance competition will start at 6:30 p.m.
The Maintenance Mania competition is presented by NAA and presenting sponsor HD Supply—a leading distributor of maintenance and renovation products.
“Maintenance professionals are the unsung heroes of the multifamily housing industry,” said NAA President and CEO Doug Culkin, CAE. “These dedicated men and women are the backbone of apartment communities, and NAA’s Maintenance Mania program showcases the best of the best in the industry. We’re extremely proud to be able to shine a light on such an outstanding group of individuals.”
Consisting of eight maintenance-focused challenges, this season’s competitors will test their maintenance skills and knowledge of the industry as they compete to earn the title of Maintenance Mania National Champion.
Racing against the clock, these highly skilled maintenance professionals will compete against each other to see who is the fastest at water heater installation, key control, faucet installation, icemaker installation, fire & carbon monoxide safety installation, toilet conversion, and ceiling fan installation. The finale of the event concludes with a race car competition, where the competitors build a model car using at least one maintenance product or part and race it down a pinewood derby-style track.
