More than 60 Employers Set for Veterans Job and Career Expo in Augusta May 2nd

Sixty-six employers are registered for the Fort Gordon Veterans Job and Career Expo and that number could reach as many as 75 on the day of the event. The expo is set for Tuesday, May 2, in Augusta.  

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Augusta Career Center Veterans Service Unit and Fort Gordon’s Soldiers for Life-TAP (Transition Assistance Program) will co-host the event. It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Fort Gordon U.S. Army Reserve Center in Building 14401 located at the corner of Lane Avenue and 15th St. GDOL staff will be on site to help veterans with employment-related services.    

The event is designed to assist with the employment needs of active, retired, and reserve military personnel and their families. However, all job seekers may attend.

Employers who have already registered for the job fair include: AAFES, ABM Government Services, Accustaff, ADP, AFLAC, AECOM, Army Community Services, Augusta State Medical Prison, Augusta Veterans Center, Augusta Warrior Project, BAE Systems, Banker’s Life, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI, City of Augusta Government, Club Car, Cobb County Department of Safety, Colonial Life, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Concept Software & Services, CSRA Electrical-JTAC, DeKalb Fire and Rescue Department, Deloitte, Delta, E2 Consulting Engineers, Edward Jones, Engility, F&W Transportation,  and Family YMCA of Augusta.
