Columbia County is excited to announce that swings are coming to Evans Towne Center Park.

Evans Towne Center Park is one of the few parks in the area without swings, and it was brought to the county’s attention during one of the General Obligation Bond hearings that citizens would like to see swings installed at the park. In a continued effort to bring new and exciting things to help enhance the park, the Board of Commissioners decided to act on this request.

After a series of bids and pricing, Columbia County will soon see a total of eight swings at ETCP. There will be four standard swings, two swings for younger children, and two handicap adaptable swings. Poured rubberized mulch will serve as the soft surface for the swing area which is also found in the playground area at the park now. The swings will be located along the side entrance to the park beside the existing play area.

Installation for the swings will begin late May with anticipated completion being early June.
