When the final bell of the school year rings, children run home, eagerly anticipating the freedom of summer. While there are many programs that keep local children busy and engaged throughout the summer, kids can’t focus when they’re hungry. Children who rely on low-cost lunch plans during the school year are at risk of going hungry when school’s not in session.

The Y’s Summer Food Program helps fill that gap to make sure kids can enjoy healthy meals and snacks throughout the summer. In an effort to serve even more children in our community, five mobile food buses will be in operations into the community, along with 14 other sites at our summer camp locations serving a snack and/or a lunch during the summer time. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.  Meals will be provided at no cost to anyone 18 or younger at the sites and times listed below:
