Free Youth Baseball Camp Set for September 9th
Friday, August 11th, 2017
Former college and MLB pitcher David Noyce recently announced that his Second Annual Southpaw Roofing Youth Baseball Camp is being held from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 9th, at North Augusta’s Riverview Park. “Even though I am a southpaw, our free youth baseball camp is definitely not limited to left-handed kids,” explains Mr. Noyce with a smile. “Our family-owned company, Southpaw Roofing, is the event sponsor.” David Noyce, president of Southpaw Roofing, Inc., attended Furman University on a baseball scholarship. In1998, he was drafted by the Florida Marlins. Later on, he continued his career, pitching for the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks before suffering a career-ending injury. Upon retiring from baseball, David settled down with his wife, Jami, in the Augusta area.
“This is a FREE camp open to any area child age 8 to 12. There will be a strong emphasis on playing the game of baseball the right way,” continues Noyce. “We have put together a staff of elite instructors who have all played the game at a very high
level and will teach the kids about the value and power of hustle and hard work. Our goal is to show these kids that they can be whatever they want to be in life; all it takes is dedication, commitment, focus, and good old-fashioned hard work.”
Interested parents are invited to bring boys and/or girls (age 8-12) to Riverview Park to register between 8:00A.M. and 8:45 A.M. on Saturday morning, September 9th.
