In 2017, more than two-thirds of Richmond County high schools increased, or maintained, their graduation rate, while two-thirds also had a graduation rate above 80%. The RCSS graduation rate of 79% is the highest in 10 years.

Superintendent Dr. Angela Pringle says, “By working with our community and business partners, we continue to show students a life beyond the classroom. These initiatives will continue to improve our graduation rate.”

“Hephzibah High School, Josey High School, Westside High School, and the Academy of Richmond County all posted their highest graduation rates since 2004. Glenn Hills High School posted their highest graduation rate in 5 years. I’m proud of the hard work taking place in all of our schools, from the administration, to the teachers, to the students” said Mr. Marion Barnes, President of the Richmond County Board of Education.
