Augusta CVB to Honor Local Makers at Media Event Today

The Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau will be honoring the local makers, skilled artisans, and valued community members featured in the Spring/Summer 2018 issue of The New Augustan magazine at a “Meet the Makers” reception at 10:30AM today, Thursday, March 22 at the Augusta Training Shop, 1704 Jenkins Street, Augusta, GA (front access located on Franklin Lane).
 
The fifth issue of The New Augustan focuses on the artisans (or “makers”) that enhance the unique fabric of Augusta’s River Region. From hand-knit garments to locally made chocolate, handmade knives, and regionally strung guitars, this issue of The New Augustan hopes to honor the creativity and vitality brought to our community. Other featured stories include Augusta Locally Grown, the Miller Theater, Augusta Training Shop, Voxnbass, Humanitree House, Sacred Heart Garden Festival, Phinizy Swamp and Nature Park, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
