Education Summit: Building Community Collaboration to Support Public Education Today

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is currently advocating for greater dialog and engagement across a variety of stakeholders to strengthen public education through a biannual Education Summit. The Chamber’s second summit will be held on Thursday, March 15 at the Kroc Center. The summit begins at 7:30 am with an opportunity to network with members of the Richmond County Board of Education, the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as well as educators, other business leaders and non-profits in order to strengthen our community’s vision for public education.

The focus of the summit will be “Building Community Collaboration to Support Public Education.”  Participants will hear from LaVern Gold, Executive Director for United Way of the CSRA, and Dr. Angela Pringle, Superintendent, Richmond County School System. The morning’s agenda also features a number of dynamic speakers including presentations from the Georgia Center for Non-Profits, Get Georgia Reading Campaign and more.

The Education Summit is a partnership between Augusta-Richmond County Commission, Richmond County Board of Education, Fort Gordon Cyber Center of Excellence and the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Business Education Advisory Council.
