Sherman & Hemstreet, announces the sale of 1812 Slaton Street a 24+ acre site located off of Wrightsboro Road near 15th street. The site previously was used as a 400,000 sqft industrial distribution center. "This site is one of the last large tracts of land left in the downtown area. It is going to be exciting to see what type of development the group puts in place on the site." said Matt Aitken, the Agent with Sherman and Hemstreet that brokered the transaction.

1812 Slaton Street is just off of Wrightsboro Rd. and is conveniently located close to downtown, Augusta University, The Savannah River and SRP Park. This site is also close to the medical district and Paine College. Joe Edge the president of Sherman & Hemstreet stated that "this transaction along with other recent developments shows that there is significant demand for good property in the downtown area."
