Alecia was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, moved to South Georgia at age 7, and finally settled in Augusta when she was 12. She graduated from Glenn Hills High School, attended Georgia Southern University, graduated from Georgia Military College, and served in the United States Army for 17 years. Alecia has worked with the Richmond County Board of Elections for many years. She developed her desire to become a professional REALTOR^® while working in property management over the last ten years.

Alecia and her husband, Willie, have six children and seven grandchildren.
