Augusta Regional Airport is excited to announce the opening of, Phase-One, of the much anticipated Restroom Renovation Project!

Included in the Airports Advancing Growing Stronger campaign, this project was designed for easier accessibility with modern design features centered on the passenger’s needs. The approximate $500,000 renovation includes state of the art restroom technology, clean finishes, and appealing amenities.

Three other amenities in this phase of the project include a Mother’s Nursing Room, a Charging Station, and Water Bottle Fillers.

The Mothers Nursing Room has been constructed to provide a safe, private, area for mothers to nurse and care for their young children. A bank of outlets were also constructed to provide an area for passengers to charge their electronic devices. The charging station consists of over twenty additional outlets with both USB and standard receptacles.  By passengers requests, Water Bottle Filling stations have been installed in each water fountain area.

This is an important step to modernize our terminal as well as add contemporary amenities. We thank our customers for providing input on things that are important to them – we listen.  Our customers will continue to see similar improvements in the future.  This project was funded from revenues generated from the Airport’s local enterprise operation.

The second phase of this project will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in the Fall of this year.
