Wednesday, August 29th, 2018
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Christa Pitts, co-CEO of the publishing company behind the The Elf on the Shelf, as the keynote speaker for the 2018 Women in Business Signature Event. Make plans to join Christa and the Augusta Metro Chamber on Friday, October 26 at the Legends Club at 6:00 pm and learn ‘How To Be Elf-Sufficient’!
Sharing her story and career path from QVC host to leaping into the family business building the marketing from the ground up in a fireside chat with her good friend Demming Bass, Christa will inspire us with insight from her journey of taking risks and overcoming challenges, and will motivate us all to take our own careers to the next level.
Christa Pitts is the co-CEO and business leader of Creatively Classic Activities and Books (CCA and B, LLC), the family-owned publishing company that created the Christmas classic The Elf on the Shelf®. As a co-founder of CCA and B, Pitts provided the business plans that took The Elf on the Shelf® from an unknown self-published title to the top of notable best-seller lists year after year. Prior to creating a successful career in the publishing world, Pitts was a host on QVC, where her warmth and enthusiasm made her a household name. She put her skills to the test at CCA and B, building the marketing and sales departments from the ground up. Today Pitts guides the strategic business vision of the company and oversees the operational side of the company, which includes sourcing, production and sales strategy.
Demming Bass, the moderator for the evening, is the CEO of New Marketing Makeover, an official national speaker and trainer for Google’s Get Your Business Online program, a certified StoryBrand Marketing Guide, and a Development Director for Power 10 Capital Campaign Management. His career includes time as an award-winning chamber executive in North Carolina and Georgia, and Constant Contact’s Southeast U.S. Development Director. He has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Most Notable Georgians” by Georgia Trend Magazine.
Event tickets are $55 for Chamber members and $65 for prospective-members. Corporate tables are available. Advanced registration required at AugustaMetroChamber.com. For more information, contact Sabrina Balthrop, Director of Events, at [email protected] or 706.821.1300.
