Mayor Hardie Davis, Jr. and staff welcomed more than one hundred guests during a holiday celebration of community.  Residents, business owners and Augusta employees enjoyed food, musical entertainment and fellowship while attending the annual holiday drop-in.
 
“We came together to celebrate our successes, reflect on those we’ve lost, and look ahead with optimism and hope,” Davis said. “It was great to see friends, old and new, and to connect about what brings us together,” Davis added.
 
During the event, Davis presented three local organizations with a check from the Mayor’s Masters Reception. The organizations, Project BBuild, The Augusta Boxing Club, and Child Enrichment, Inc. each received $2000 to support their services that are provided to many across Augusta.
 
“It is an honor for me to support the work and efforts of these organizations in a tangible way,” Davis said.
