SecureGive, an Augusta-based digital giving company, has donated $150,000 in support of the YMCA’s Camp Lakeside “Healing Through Joy” Capital Campaign funding improvements to the camp’s facilities in 2019 that are already underway.  The campaign will provide new cabin facilities that will increase capacity and camper comforts, as well as a new medical facility.  The medical facility will provide lodging for volunteer clinical staff and physicians during medical camps hosted throughout the year and include an in-house pharmacy.  SecureGive’s donation will fund a new 30-bed cabin facility, scheduled for completion in May 2019.

“Giving generously is the foundation of our business and how we serve our clients every day.  It was an obvious fit for us to support Camp Lakesides’s improvements to provide the resources needed for medically challenged kids in our region. We completely align with the Y’s Christian-based mission and believe in the vision and powerful positive impact of lives changed through the experiences Camp Lakeside provides.” said Patty Baker, President and Co-Founder, SecureGive.

“SecureGive’s donation is not just helping us build facilities but is an investment in the future development of community’s children,” said Danny McConnell, President and CEO, the Greater Augusta Family YMCA. “They are “walking the walk” of generosity and we at the Y are immensely grateful.”

“We view this gift and the development of Camp Lakeside as a legacy decision.  When you think about the invaluable memories, relationships and skills camp provides, it’s life-changing for years to come.  And it’s generational for families, not just while camp is happening, but the takeaways that shape these children into adulthood for their spirit, mind and body.  I challenge others in the Augusta business and church communities to join us, as there is more work to be done to reach Camp Lakeside’s goals and full potential,” said Marty Baker, Co-Founder, SecureGive.
