Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA will host the Shepeard Community Blood Center bloodmobile at its campus at 3165 Washington Road in Augusta on February 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to Shepeard Community Blood Center, the blood supply is lower following the holidays, and it’s essential to rebuild the blood supply for patients in the more than 20 hospitals served by the blood center in 30 counties in Georgia and South Carolina.

The process of donating blood usually doesn’t take more than 30 minutes, and one donation can save up to three local lives. All donors who participate at the donation event at the Goodwill campus will receive a free pair of specialty socks
