Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) along with Augusta Aviation, Daniel Field (DNL), have partnered with Challenge Air for Kids & Friends, Inc. to host a Fly Day at AGS.

Challenge Air is a non-profit organization established in 1993 by Rick Amber, a quadriplegic navy veteran, as an effort to encourage children that they can overcome their disabilities. The organization is made of a network of over 3,500 volunteers dedicated to providing children with special needs the opportunity to take a flight with a private pilot and build their self-esteem.

On May 4, 2019 AGS will host a Challenge Air Fly Day for 50 children with special needs, ages 7-21, at no cost to the participants. The event will provide each child with an opportunity to “co-pilot” during a flight in a private aircraft, lunch, and activities during the event.
