Monday, April 1st, 2019
First Community Bank is pleased to announce Phyllis Salazar has joined the bank as a commercial banker in Evans, Georgia. With more than 35 years of industry experience, Phyllis will focus on building relationships with local businesses and expanding the bank’s customer base in Columbia County through its new office in Evans, scheduled to open in late May.
“We are excited to add someone with Phyllis’ unique experience and talent to our growing Augusta team,” said Regional Market President Jeff Spears. “Phyllis’ experience and expertise position her to know the ins and outs of the banking world and to use that knowledge to provide specialized solutions for clients.”
Since graduating from Leadership Columbia County in 2013, where she also served on the steering committee for two years, Phyllis has taken an active role in the success and enrichment of the Augusta area. She is a member of several community groups, including the Workforce and Education Committee with the Columbia County Chamber, the Columbia County Convention & Visitors Bureau where she serves as treasurer, the Columbia County Chamber Foundation where she serves on the board, and the Exchange Club of Columbia County where she serves as secretary.
“Phyllis’ genuine devotion to her customers and considerable community involvement make her the ideal candidate to lead our Evans office,” said Jordan Pierce, Augusta Market President. “This new office follows the addition of our downtown Augusta office just a year ago and demonstrates our continued investment in the CSRA.”
