National Coffee Day is Sept. 29, and a local coffee roaster wants to celebrate the day by honoring three deserving community volunteers. Buona Caffe Artisan Roasted Coffee is now accepting nominations for Happily Caffeinated Heroes!
 
Now in its fourth year, Happily Caffeinated Heroes encourages CSRA residents to nominate coffee lovers who help others through volunteer service. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 20.
 
Since National Coffee Day falls on a Sunday this year, Buona Caffe will head out to their office on Friday, Sept. 27, to deliver a gallon of freshly brewed coffee and a $100 check to each of the organizations the Happily Caffeinated Heroes support.
 
“The Augusta region is home to so many people who donate their time and talents just because they want to help others,” said John Curry, co-owner of Buona Caffe. “We think National Coffee Day is the perfect time to celebrate their contributions.”
