Richmond County School System Will Reopen on September 9th

The Richmond County School System will return to school at regularly scheduled times on Monday, September 9, 2019. The Governor removed the mandatory evacuation order for Savannah-Chatham County and evacuees will begin returning home within the next few hours. The medically fragile evacuees at Westside HS will remain overnight and return in the morning.
Schools will remain closed on Friday, September 6, 2019 in order to clean and sanitize facilities. All shelter sites will be returned to their normal condition before school resumes.
Varsity football games for Friday night will be played as scheduled.
