Augusta Regional Airport is proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by presenting the Second Annual Field of Pink Display beginning October First!

The Field of Pink will consist of pink flags planted around the Airport entrance sign to honor those who have fought the breast cancer battle. The commemorative flags will remain in place for the entire month of October.

Everyone is invited to join the Airport in the effort to bring awareness to this terrible disease that affects one out of every eight women in the US. The Airport will begin selling pink flags, today, September 17th through October 31st, for $1. All proceeds will go directly to the University Health Care Foundation to support the Annual Miracle Mile Walk scheduled for October 19, 2019. Flags may be purchased in Airport Administration Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

“The goal is to make more survivors. 100% of the net proceeds from the Miracle Mile Walk pay for mammograms for women in our community who otherwise would not receive these life-saving screenings. University Health Care Foundation and the patients we serve are grateful Augusta Regional Airport’s partnership and support! ” Laurie Ott, President-University Health Care Foundation.

“Your Airport is not just a travel hub; we are also a partner that cares about the health and welfare of our community,” said Mr. Herbert Judon Jr., Airport Executive Director. “The Field of Pink campaign is a very important way for us to do our part to help bring resources and awareness to combat breast cancer.”
