Freeloader shuttle service is coming to downtown Augusta.  A ribbon cutting celebration will commemorate the official launch on Tuesday, January 21st at 11:00 at the Georgia Cyber Center in downtown Augusta.  Mayor Hardie Davis, Jr., Mayor Pro Tem Sean Frantom and Commissioner Bill Fennoy from District 1 will be among the first VIP Riders for Freeloader. 

Media is encouraged and invited to attend.  Subsequent to a short program at the Georgia Cyber Center including comments from Freeloader CEO Norman Dunagan, Freeloader’s 6-passenger LSV Electric vehicles will transport VIP passengers to several downtown restaurants including Groucho’s Deli, Farmhaus Burger and Southern Salad. 

Freeloader is an app-based, on-demand free shuttle service for downtown Augusta.  Initial hours of operation for service will be 11:00 to 2:00 M-F.  This is a free service for residents, workers and visitors when they are in the downtown area.  The vehicles are low-speed electric cars that seat 6 passengers including the driver.  The app “Freeloader Driver” can be downloaded and used by passengers to summon the vehicles.  Or, users can text freeloader to 555888.  More info is available at freeloadershuttle.com.  Freeloader will bring you to your favorite spots downtown!
