Film Augusta and Film Columbia County have partnered together to host a group of film location managers from Atlanta on a familiarization tour of Augusta and Columbia County this weekend (March 6-8, 2020).
 
By working together, the two film commissions hope to sell Augusta’s River Region to these qualified film industry professionals. During the familiarization tour, the location managers will see a wealth of locations in both areas that are unique to Augusta and Columbia County and showcase the area’s diverse variety of places to film.
 
The tour begins Friday night with entry into Augusta’s old jail at 401 Walton Way and ends Sunday afternoon in Columbia County in the Harlem, GA area.
 
This marketing event to the film industry is an example of both film offices working jointly to grow the film industry in the region.
