Georgia’s Three-fold Mission to Switzerland

“It’s almost three missions for one.” That’s how Nico Wijnberg, Chief of Protocol for the State of Georgia, described the state’s recent economic development mission to Switzerland. 

The delegation’s stops highlighted Georgia’s business-friendly environment, the state’s surging e-mobility industry, and the depth of its international relationships that are creating jobs for Georgians and helping companies reach key consumers.

Mary Waters, now Chief Administrative Officer of the Georgia Department of Economic Development and previous Deputy Commissioner of International Trade, joined Nico Wijnberg and Trevor Williams of Global Atlanta to discuss how the delegation worked with the State of Georgia’s Europe Office, the Consulate General of Switzerland, and its existing relationships to explore future opportunities for Georgia-based companies.
