AU Faculty Staff and Students Invited to Attend Annual Planning and Resource Alignment Hearings
Tuesday, March 26th, 2024
As Augusta University moves into the third year of its strategic plan, university leaders are set to present at the annual Planning and Resource Alignment Hearings March 25-29.
The hearings provide an opportunity for each planning unit leader to discuss how their areas are aligning activities with the strategic plan and to request any additional resources they need to support continued progress toward 16,000 students by 2030, a Top 60 ranking in NIH funding by 2030 and a Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement by 2026.
“The achievements under Creating a Legacy Like No Other presented at the hearings reflect the great work and collaborative efforts across the university that are helping us reach our aspirational imperatives,” said Russell Keen, EdD, executive vice president for administration and chief of staff to the president. “More importantly, the hearings highlight how the university’s leaders and their teams are planning to take bold new steps to help Augusta University continue to thrive.”
The hearings will be hosted in person in the Jaguar Student Activities CenterCoffeehouse, Room 235, with a livestream option available. Each presentation will be followed by questions and feedback from a panel of the university’s executive vice presidents.
Keen serves alongside Neil J. MacKinnon, PhD, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, and Yvonne Turner, executive vice president of finance and chief business officer, as the strategic planning project sponsors.
“The hearings allow us to see how our academic and administrative areas embody our institutional value of collegiality and can further collaborate to help us reach our aspirational imperatives together,” said MacKinnon.
“Being bold and good stewards of our resources must go hand in hand, and the hearings provide an opportunity to share budgeting strategies and demonstrate commitment to excellence,” said Turner.
