As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA emphasizes the positive impact of decluttering on mental well-being. Donating unwanted items not only creates a more organized and peaceful living space but also helps change lives in our community.

The simple act of decluttering has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and even symptoms of depression. By removing physical clutter, we can also clear mental clutter, allowing for increased focus, productivity, and overall happiness.

When you donate your gently used items to Goodwill, you're not just getting rid of stuff; you're empowering individuals and families to achieve their goals. Your donations are sold in our retail stores, and the revenue generated funds vital job training programs, education and skill development, employment placement services, and other community-based initiatives that make a real difference.

"Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to reflect on the importance of self-care and taking steps to improve our well-being," said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President for Development. "Decluttering and donating to Goodwill is a simple yet powerful way to enhance your mental health while also supporting your community."

This Mental Health Awareness Month, join Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA in promoting mental wellness and giving back to the community. Declutter your space, donate your items, and help change lives.
