John Deere Foundation Awards $275,000 to Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity

The John Deere Foundation generously awarded a $225,000 grant to the Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity. This grant will significantly enhance Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing for local families in need. The grant will be awarded over the next three years with payments of $75,000 in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Bernadette M. Fortune, Chief Executive Officer of the Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity, says this contribution will allow them to launch more initiatives within the community.

“We are deeply grateful to the John Deere Foundation for their generous grant and for entrusting us with these vital funds,” Fortune said. “It will enable us to launch initiatives that educate the community on the importance of housing advocacy, equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools to support and drive positive change.”

Fortune added that they look forward to witnessing the profound impact this partnership will have on improving lives, fostering stronger, more resilient neighborhoods, and inspiring a community-wide commitment to housing advocacy.
