Piedmont Augusta Summerville Campus Set to Reopen with New Departments for the Community

After COVID-19, Piedmont Augusta Summerville campus closed its doors. Four years later, the hospital is set to reopen with updated new units.

“We will be reopening our emergency department, which is a 15-bed emergency department,” said Nic Wood, Executive Director Hospital Administrator for Piedmont Augusta Summerville and Mcduffie. “We will be reopening a 12-bed in-patient unit, and then also where we’re standing right now, our radiology department. We have revamped the services here. So, you will be able to come get your CT scan done on this brand new beautiful, machine that you see. X-ray- ultrasound, and we will also have a brand-new MRI machine later this summer.”
