Augusta Regional Airport to Shift Traffic Temporarily

The Augusta Richmond County Traffic Engineering Department announced the temporary closing of Doug Barnard Parkway beginning September 3rd.
Road improvements will be made on the south end of Doug Barnard Parkway that will require a temporary closure from Tuesday, September 3rd through Sunday, September 22nd. Detours will be set on Tobacco road.
This project may impact airport patrons that access the airport via Doug Barnard Parkway from the south. The main access from I-520 and Tobacco Road will remain unaffected. Please plan your road travel accordingly to give ample time before your flight departure.
