Turner Padget Adds Seasoned Business Attorney and Litigator in Augusta

Turner Padget is pleased to welcome Robert A. Mullins as of counsel in its Augusta office. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Robert brings valuable experience and a proven track record in representing local and international clients throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

Throughout his career, Robert has developed a broad and diverse legal practice. He has successfully litigated cases in various areas, including environmental law, real estate, business and corporate law, public contracts and construction, constitutional law, civil rights, government law, and intellectual property. His appellate advocacy includes arguments before the Georgia and South Carolina appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

In addition to his legal practice, Robert is an active leader in the Augusta community. He has held leadership positions in numerous nonprofits, including serving as president of the Greater Augusta Arts Council, the Richmond County Exchange Club, and Le Chat Noir, Inc. He has also served on the boards of the Augusta Player Business and Professional Alliance and Bath Gardens Foundation, Inc., and chaired the Columbia County Greenspace Advisory Committee.

Robert holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Presbyterian College, a master’s degree from Emory University, and a law degree from the University of Oregon. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and South Carolina, including their respective appellate courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. 

He is a past recipient of the State Bar of Georgia’s Pro Bono Honor Roll award for his public service. Outside of the office, Robert is the author of several books on local history.
