North Augusta city leaders are discussing raising water and sewer rates in the city. “I’m not surprised because everything else has gone up, so this is just following the pattern,” resident Cherry Young said.

North Augusta is facing higher water and sewer costs due to a 65% fee hike at the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment facility. “We did an analysis and the new pricing basically catching us up to where we need to be for future growth and expansion,” Aiken County Vice-Chairman Andrew Siders added.
