Augusta Aviation supports Childhood Cancer Awareness
Tuesday, October 1st, 2024
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, Augusta Aviation proudly announced the dedication of its aircraft 80842 to raise awareness for childhood cancer in September of 2023. Continuing our purpose, throughout the entire month of September, Augusta Aviation is committed to supporting this cause that holds a special place in their hearts. To contribute to the fight against childhood cancer, all proceeds from t-shirt purchases made during September will be donated, as well as a portion of all flight revenue from sunset tours, aerial tours, and flight training. This year we are also hosting an Air-Craft drive to raise craft materials for children in treatment at the Children's Hospital of Georgia.
Childhood cancer remains a significant concern in our society, affecting the lives of countless children and their families. Augusta Aviation, in partnership with the Children's Hospital of Georgia, has taken a meaningful step forward in addressing this issue. As a nonprofit hospital, the Children's Hospital of Georgia relies on the support of its community to fund critical equipment, technology, and programmatic needs. Augusta Aviation's commitment to supporting the hospital through their September Childhood Cancer Awareness campaign is a testament to their dedication to improving the lives of pediatric hematology and oncology patients. Funds raised through this campaign will have a direct and positive impact on the lives of these young patients, providing them with the care and resources they need to fight childhood cancer.
"We are honored to stand beside the Children's Hospital of Georgia during Childhood Cancer Awareness month," said Steve Gay, President of Augusta Aviation. "Our dedication of aircraft 80842 symbolizes our commitment to raising awareness about childhood cancer and supporting the brave children who are battling this disease. We encourage everyone to join us in this important cause by purchasing a t-shirt during September and contributing to the Children's Hospital of Georgia's mission."
