Holy Trinity Classical Christian School Announces Community Prayer Gathering with Swing Bridge Run

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024

Let’s go down to the river to pray….” Now more than ever, children and schools are in need of community support. This gathering in downtown Beaufort is an opportunity to come together in unity to pray for all children and families both here in Beaufort County and around the world.

In cooperation with the City of Beaufort, please join Holy Trinity Classical Christian School for a Community Prayer Gathering at 7:15 am on Saturday, Nov. 2 on the green in front of the pavilion at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort. The time of prayer will be led by Pastor Alex Mark, First Scots Presbyterian Church. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in this unified time of prayer. There is limited seating along the sides of the green, so please bring a chair or blanket.

Please note, the Rev. John Chol Daau of Good Shepherd Academy who helped us kick off our races in year's past will not be in attendance this year. Travel has been difficult for him from that part of the world. Despite being half a world apart, Holy Trinity and Good Shepherd Academy, South Sudan, have been sister schools for over a decade. Each year, Holy Trinity gives 10% of the net proceeds of the race to Good Shepherd Academy.

Upon conclusion of the Prayer Gathering, the Swing Bridge Run, the 2nd race in the Beaufort Triple Crown Series, will commence promptly at 8 am. Participants will cross the Woods Memorial Bridge whether they are running or walking. This is a certified 5K course and is pet and stroller friendly. More information about the Community Prayer Gathering and the Swing Bridge Run is available at www.HTCCS.org scroll down to the Spotlight on the homepage or visit RunSignUp.com and search Swing Bridge Run and register to run or walk.
