The Augusta Sports Council (ASC) is proud to announce that Wier / Stewart (W / S ) will serve as the presenting sponsor for the 17th annual Augusta Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K event. The 2025 event is set to have a Mardi Gras theme and will be held at the Augusta University Summerville campus on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Wier / Stewart also played a key role in designing the new logo and branding for the 2025 event. Founder Alex Wier and President Daniel Stewart commented, "Because we don't like to do anything halfway, with the exception of marathons, partnering with the Augusta Sports Council on the Half made sense." Augusta Sports Council CEO Michelle Pippin also shared, "Our team is so excited to have the support and creativity of the W / S team as we plan for our 2025 event. We are truly honored that they have chosen us as their inaugural sporting event partnership and look forward to adding a fun new theme that our participants and community can enjoy."

The event has been owned and hosted by the Augusta Sports Council since 2008. Proceeds from the annual event support the organization's mission and also contributes to the annual GAMES Scholarship program which awards ten $1,000 to local graduating high school student athletes each spring. Since 2011, the ASC has awarded over $78,000 in college scholarships to 68 graduating high school student athletes in the Augusta community.
