The Ronald McDonald House hosted their open house Tuesday to welcome in the holiday season. Families, friends, and volunteers gathered for food and fellowship. Along with pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, therapy dogs, and some super and royal visitors.

We spoke with Dr. David Jacobsen, President and CEO of RMHC of Augusta, who told WJBF, “We look to celebrate everything we can for our families. When they’ve got their child in the hospital the stress level for them is high. The don’t know all the answers, they don’t know what’s coming. And there’s a lot of things that can cause worry. And what we try and do is find reasons to celebrate, find reasons to bring that stress down and take care of their needs, and that’s even more important during the Holidays.”
