Augusta Leaders Start New Year Supporting Increasing the Hotel-Motel Tax

Augusta commissioners going on the record in favor a tax increase for the city’s hotels and motels.
“People want to see good things happen in Augusta. We got to go somewhere. I’ve not been one in the past to want to support that,” said Commissioner Catherine Smith Rice.
