Atlanta Developer Wanting to Bring Small-House Neighborhood to Evans

An Atlanta developer eyeing Columbia County is thinking big by thinking small.
Brightside Homes is asking the county to rezone more than 15 acres at 4204 Washington Rd., across from the Mullins Colony shopping center in Evans. The builder wants to erect a planned residential development of 123 homes ranging between just 640 and 1,360 square feet in size.
