Augusta Commission Questions Decisions by Historic Preservation Commission

For the old First Baptist Church on Greene Street, the Historic Preservation Commission has one goal – get the owner to stabilize the building.
“All we’re concerned about is him moth balling the building to make sure it doesn’t deteriorate any further, that’s it,” said David Barbee, a member of the Historic Preservation Commission.
