Augusta has been cleaning up after Hurricane Helene for months, but city officials say a lot of work remains and with it, a lot of costs.

“We want to make sure that we don’t miss anything in any way of getting our money back for Augusta. Like I said, it doesn’t just stop with the debris pickup. We’re having to look at how do we build back for the future,” said Augusta City Administrator Tameka Allen.
