Colleton River Club Announces Jason Matzat as New Chief Financial Officer

Colleton River Club, the Lowcountry’s premier waterfront gated golf community, is pleased to announce Jason Matzat as its new Chief Financial Officer. Matzat brings over 25 years of accounting and finance expertise in consumer experience-driven sports and hospitality brands, making him an outstanding addition to the leadership team.

Originally from the Seattle area, Matzat earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington Foster School of Business. He also holds CPA credentials in the state of Washington.

Matzat's career includes 13 years as Director of Finance and Controller with Access Golf LLC, a Paul Allen company based in Redmond, Washington. He later joined Nike, Inc., as Director of Finance, where he led the largest finance and accounting team in North America, before transitioning to Boston, MA, as Director of Finance and Accounting for Converse. Most recently, he served as CFO for The Vaquero Club in Westlake, Texas, and Project CFO for the Baker’s Bay Club in the Bahamas with Discovery Land Company.

Matzat and his wife, Suzanne, are excited to now call Bluffton home. They have two children, Jacob (24) and Katie (20), who are both collegiate athletes. An avid runner and golfer, Matzat shares a passion for sports with his family and is eager to integrate into the Colleton River community.
