Columbia County Launches Official Webpage for Hurricane Helene Debris Removal Updates on Final Pass
Monday, February 24th, 2025
Columbia County officials announced today the launch of a dedicated webpage that will provide residents with up-to-date information on the completion of debris removal along county and city roads following Hurricane Helene. The webpage will feature a list of completed roads as part of the second and final pass of debris pick-up, which began on Monday, February 17, 2025.
As roads are cleared, they will be marked complete by CERES Environmental. Each completed road will undergo a final verification process, including photo documentation by DebrisTech and county staff, to ensure accuracy and compliance. Once confirmed, the road will be added to the webpage to ensure that residents are aware that no additional debris should be placed along the right-of-way on those routes.
While there is no set schedule for when debris removal will occur in specific neighborhoods, residents are encouraged to monitor the webpage regularly for updates. This will allow them to stay informed about the completion of the final pass in their area.
The webpage can be accessed via the homepage of Columbia County, Georgia’s official website: www.columbiacountyga.gov.
Columbia County thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as the recovery efforts continue, and assures them that work is progressing as quickly as possible.
