Columbia County is excited to announce the reopening of the Columbia County Racquet Center on Monday, March 31, 2025. After extensive renovations and improvements, the facility will reopen its full array of courts and amenities, providing a fresh, upgraded experience for residents and visitors alike.

The reopening marks the completion of several key improvements, including the addition of 10 new pickleball courts, new park entrance signs, and the reconfiguration of parking lots. These upgrades are part of a comprehensive renovation effort that also addressed the damages caused by Hurricane Helene. Repair work included:

 New roof on the clubhouse

 Fencing repairs on most courts throughout the complex

 Sidewalk repairs caused by uprooted trees

 Tennis court light repairs from storm damage

 New windscreens for courts where they were torn off

 Repairs on the clay tennis courts

 Deck repairs to restore the clubhouse area

Pickleball Complex Membership Details

The newly added pickleball complex will operate as a membership-based facility, just like the rest of the Columbia County Racquet Center. Columbia County residents can enjoy free membership to the pickleball complex, while non-residents will be required to pay a membership fee of $500 per person per year.

To access and reserve pickleball courts, individuals must first become members by signing up with staff in the clubhouse. Once registered, members will be able to reserve pickleball courts up to 7 days in advance through the online reservation system. Non-members will not have access to the online reservation system until they’ve officially signed up at the clubhouse.
