The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce Foundation is excited to announce that applications for the Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) Class of 2025 are now open. This highly esteemed program is specifically designed to provide rising 9th graders in the Aiken County area with the tools and resources necessary for successful leadership development.

Throughout the month of June, participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum, which includes identifying their own characteristics, personality traits, and strengths, as well as gaining an understanding of community needs, opportunities, challenges, and resources. The program will also provide ample opportunities for developing communication, team-building, and leadership skills while allowing students to interact with peers from other schools, community leaders, and decision-makers. This exciting program is designed to help students develop important leadership skills, learn about their community, and make valuable connections with local leaders. 

The JLA program is open to public, private, and homeschool students, with an application deadline of 4 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The program consists of an orientation, seven full-day sessions, one half-day session, and a graduation ceremony.
