Four Local Eagle Scouts Earn Eagle Scout Rank, Scouting's Highest Honor

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, May 30th, 2025

Georgia-Carolina Council, Scouting America proudly announces that four of its members

— Reagan Plummer, Aaron Sansing, Jackson Musto, and Matthew Nelson — have achieved the rank of

Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting. This prestigious achievement reflects their leadership,

service, and unwavering commitment to the principles of the Scout Oath and Law.

Earning the Eagle Scout rank is a rare accomplishment — only about 6% of Scouts attain it. Each of these

young men demonstrated exceptional dedication through years of advancement, merit badge

achievement, leadership within their troop, and the completion of a community service project designed

and led by each Scout.

• Aaron Sansing led a service project that involved replacing the broken and worn-out pews in the

Tabernacle at White Oak Campground.

• Reagan Plummer organized and completed an addition to Clark Park at Christ the King Lutheran

Church in Evans, including minor landscaping and brick laying, as well as restoring wood railings

and adding picnic tables.

• Jackson Musto oversaw the maintenance of 7 tee boxes and construction of 4 new tee boxes at

the Nature and Adventure Center Disc Golf Course

• Matthew Nelson developed and executed a project that extended the loading bay driveway at

GAP ministries in downtown Augusta so that food can be more quickly and easily unloaded

directly into the pantry.

Reagan, Aaron, Jackson, and Matthew now join a distinguished group of American leaders, innovators,

and trailblazers who have earned the Eagle rank — a legacy they are poised to carry forward in all their

future endeavors.

The Georgia-Carolina Council has had over 3,500 Eagle Scouts since its inception in 1920.
