Tuesday, May 6th, 2025
The Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH), a leading Georgia program dedicated to transforming the lives of young men facing behavioral challenges, successfully held its 32nd Annual Golf Classic today at The River Golf Club. The event, sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities, brought together community members and philanthropists to support PAYH's vital mission.
Over its 32-year history, the Paul Anderson Golf Classic has raised more than $7 million, providing crucial funding for PAYH's Christian residential program and on-campus school for young men ages 16-21 struggling with behavioral problems, discipline issues, anger, and depression.
"This golf tournament continues to be a powerful testament to the community's dedicated commitment to our young men," said Glenda Anderson Leonard, PAYH co-founder. "The funds raised directly fuel our ability to provide hope and brighter futures for those in need."
Participants enjoyed a challenging and scenic experience on The River Golf Club, an award-winning Jim Fazio-designed course consistently ranked among the Southeast's best, offering panoramic views of the Savannah River.
The day included breakfast, lunch, and snacks, culminating in an awards ceremony following the competition.
"We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, especially Publix Super Markets Charities, whose unwavering generosity has been instrumental to the success of every Golf Classic," Anderson Leonard added.
