Representatives of SRP Federal Credit Union have presented the American Heart Association (AHA) with a donation exceeding $45,000. This substantial contribution is the result of a three-month, employee-led fundraising campaign that surpassed its initial goal by over $10,000.

Charmaine Finch and Ieshia Bell, who served as chair and co-chair of SRP’s AHA fundraiser, spearheaded the campaign. The funds raised, totaling $45,622.63, will be used to support the nonprofit organization’s various initiatives, including heart and brain research, improvements in medical care, and the provision of CPR training.

Across all SRP departments and branches, team members actively participated in the fundraising efforts. Their contributions came from activities such as AHA’s annual Heart Walk, basket raffles, food truck fundraisers, and Friday "jeans-days."

Grace Helms, Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Community Development for SRP Federal Credit Union, expressed her inspiration at the outcome. She stated, “It is inspiring to see the result of our team members’ generosity, leadership, and commitment to uplifting our community. This company-wide fundraising campaign for the American Heart Association truly exemplifies the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People.’ Good things are happening at SRP!”
