On Saturday, July 19 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (or until supplies run out), Augusta Worship Center will
host its annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway. Approximately 200 backpacks filled with school
supplies will be distributed to school-age children of all grade levels.

The child must be present to receive a backpack, and bags will be given out on a first-come, first-served
basis.

In addition to backpacks, there will also be electronic prizes given away during the event.

“With increasing costs for school supplies, AWC Cares saw a need to engage the community to help
parents,” said Bishop Johnson of Augusta Worship Center. “Providing school supplies at no cost removes
at least one major hurdle for parents and helps children get off to a good start.”
